Laughter sessions can also be run as a series of 'Laughter On Prescription' workshops.
'Laughter On Prescription' is usually run as weekly workshops for between 4 and 8 weeks. The scheme was piloted at SureStart in Fleetwood with a group of women with medium depression. The sessions taught and reinforced coping mechanisms, with the benefits increased by laughing regularly with the same group of people.
